Most of the beaches in Cancun have golden or white sands, ideal for lying on under the sun, and turquoise waters, with gentle waves except for at certain times of the year. The best beaches in Cancun are Las Perlas, Playa Caracol and Playa Linda, all of which are sheltered; or the open sea beaches of Caracol, Playa Delfines and Playa Ballenas.
